SUMMARY:100FORE22 Golf Marathon - TPC Jasna Polana
DESCRIPTION:August 2\, 2021 at the beautiful property at TPC Jasna Polana in Princeton NJ\, our team was waking up from their rooms in the Beata’s House overlooking the 18th fairway and 1st tee box.  It was a cool morning in the upper 50’s with dew covering the property as the team was gathered on the 1st tee to begin their quest to concur their second marathon in less than a year on a more demanding and undulating course.  Energy levels were high\, support from friends\, family and members throughout the day watching our team tackle a course with 2700 feet of elevation change.  On the courses 15th hole\, team member Joshua Howard holed out for an eagle from 170 yards away on a shot where he needed to hit a perfect draw to a pin he could barely see from his obstruction of trees.  On the 100th hole of the day\, a beautiful finishing hole that is a downhill par 5\, with the clubhouse sitting high up on the hill nestled behind the 18th green.  Our founder and president Joshua Sears hit his tee shot\, and on his follow through\, his driver came out from his hands\, he had collapsed to the ground in pain and agony as his back had locked up.  After being down for a few minutes\, spectators watching with worry and grief\, he rose to his feet and gingerly walked to his next shot and continued to finish the marathon.  Together\, the team had walked over 40 miles each\, 450 golf swings\, numerous blisters\, chaffing\, aches\, pains\, rolled ankles….. We had done it\, another successful marathon\, another accomplishment on a challenging and undulating course.  With our teams effort\, fundraising and donations\, we were able to present Tunnels2Towers Foundation with a check just over $3200!

SUMMARY:100FORE22 Golf Marathon - Fort Dix
DESCRIPTION:September 10\, 2020\, the team had an early morning rise around 0430 with excitement to embark on their journey to conquer their first 100 hole golf marathon\, walking every step of the way.  The final preparations were being done that morning as the rain started to fall at 0600.  As the rain picked up\, and the team was about to take their first swings of the day\, they did not feel discouraged or defeated.  Somewhere in a foreign land were our military members in far worse adverse conditions preserving our freedoms.  Somewhere in the United States\, a police officer\, a fireman\, a ems technician was in a snowstorm\, a torrential downpour conducting their duties saving lives.  Ten hours later\, the team made their final putts on the 100th hole\, the 18th hole at Fountain Green Golf Course on Joint Base MDL in New Jersey. It was a beautiful downhill par 4 on a two tiered green that had a  pond in front of it siting 20 yards wide and across.  All the blisters\, the body aches\, cramps\, charely horses did not matter as the realization that the mission they had mentally and physically prepared for has just been conquered.  Over 35 miles walked\, over 400 golf swings\, and lots of cheers from spectators made the day a success.  Over $2800 was raised and donated to Veterans4Life USA that immediately impacted several Veterans and First Responders into treatment to regain their life.
