SUMMARY:100FORE22 Golf Marathon - TPC Jasna Polana
DESCRIPTION:August 2\, 2021 at the beautiful property at TPC Jasna Polana in Princeton NJ\, our team was waking up from their rooms in the Beata’s House overlooking the 18th fairway and 1st tee box.  It was a cool morning in the upper 50’s with dew covering the property as the team was gathered on the 1st tee to begin their quest to concur their second marathon in less than a year on a more demanding and undulating course.  Energy levels were high\, support from friends\, family and members throughout the day watching our team tackle a course with 2700 feet of elevation change.  On the courses 15th hole\, team member Joshua Howard holed out for an eagle from 170 yards away on a shot where he needed to hit a perfect draw to a pin he could barely see from his obstruction of trees.  On the 100th hole of the day\, a beautiful finishing hole that is a downhill par 5\, with the clubhouse sitting high up on the hill nestled behind the 18th green.  Our founder and president Joshua Sears hit his tee shot\, and on his follow through\, his driver came out from his hands\, he had collapsed to the ground in pain and agony as his back had locked up.  After being down for a few minutes\, spectators watching with worry and grief\, he rose to his feet and gingerly walked to his next shot and continued to finish the marathon.  Together\, the team had walked over 40 miles each\, 450 golf swings\, numerous blisters\, chaffing\, aches\, pains\, rolled ankles….. We had done it\, another successful marathon\, another accomplishment on a challenging and undulating course.  With our teams effort\, fundraising and donations\, we were able to present Tunnels2Towers Foundation with a check just over $3200!
