What Our Donors Over the World Are Saying

On September 10, 2020, the 100 FORE 22 Foundation did a 100-hole golf marathon at Fountain Green Golf Course in Ft. Dix, New Jersey, to help spread the word about Camp Hope and other veteran organizations that support veterans. The marathon introduced Camp Hope to six new veterans needing the healing only Camp Hope could provide. These veterans entered Camp Hope soon after the marathon’s completion and found the healing and purpose in life they had been looking for since leaving the military.

Camp Hope is a faith-based, six-nine-month interim housing program located in Houston, Texas. It aims to relieve the effects of combat trauma through a whole-person approach. Its solution is to provide peer support, mentor programs, and professional development for America’s warriors and their families.

In July of 2020 I was able to witness an outstanding group of men participate in a event for the 100fore22 foundation. I was blown away at the organization, awareness and determination they showed leading up to and during the event. I was married to one of the men that participated in this journey, and I was able to watch from behind the scenes a dream become a reality. The day of the Marathon held at TPC Jasna Polana started early not just for the men but for us(the family, wives, nieces, brothers, sisters). The day was filled with excitement, but for some it was filled with worry. As a wife to one of the golfers you worried about their health as the day went on. The discomfort, the hunger, the dehydration that could occur, the physical impact they so willingly accepted, and then you had the excitement of watching the golfers with every step get closer to their end goal. It was heartbreaking as the day went on watching the men push through their pain and knowing besides offering moral support there was limited things you can do. At the end of the marathon, the emotions were high, the wave of relief to know your loved one can finally give their body a break followed by overwhelming joy. The golfers played 100 holes, the family behind the scenes watched the struggle, it hurt seeing the pain but then was beyond happy when at the end the dreams of the golfers became a reality, and they beyond exceed the goal and mission of this event. The marathon helped me realize the strength, determination, and skill my husband had, I felt privileged to be able to watch him support the ones who need him and do it with such joy.

Great foundation with a meaningful purpose, and leadership team. We much rather work with teams such as this vs. larger foundations that we know less of the donation make it to the Veterans in need. Keep it up!
